Course objectives:
With fierce business competition nowadays, the chance of having disputes is getting higher. This is
particularly the case for disputes arising from construction projects. This course aims at providing
participants an overview of what kinds of dispute resolution methods are available. Through the
understanding of their characteristics, the participants can determine which method is most
appropriate to resolve a particular dispute when it arises. The course also serves as an
introduction to those who would like to study further in the subjects of negotiation, mediation or
